TRIESTE ORGANICA 7 Grain Linguine

I made linguine today, like many a Sunday afternoon. Pasta is fast, easy and budget friendly and can be glamorous with fancy lobster sauce, or exude simple elegance when tossed with some olive oil, fresh herbs and garlic.

Seeing as I promised to follow the directions once in a while, I felt that this TRIESTE ORGANICA 7 Grain Linuine (2.99$ for 340g) would be a good candidate. When I think of pasta, I can easily be tempted to treat a whole grain pasta, or quinoa pasta, in the same way as I would any other kinds of pasta, but in truth, it is probably wise to read over the directions whenever tackling an alternate version of a staple item like this.
For 340 g (1 package) of TRIESTE ORGANICA pasta, bring 3 L of water to a roiling boil. Add 1 tbsp. of salt. Add the pasta, stirring until the water returns to a boil. Cook uncovered for 5 to 7 minutes. Drain and serve with your favorite sauce.
Directions were easy to follow, and the time frame for boiling is quite appropriate, I pulled my pasta out at the 4-1/2 minute mark and finished it off in the sauce I made for an additional minute or so. The texture was just right, I felt that any additional cooking time would have made the pasta mushy, but anything less might have resulted in a pasta too chewy to enjoy.

The sauce I made was a very simple Garlic, Tomato and Cream Sauce, it married beautifully with this pasta.
