TRIESTE ORGANICA 7 Grain Linguine
Seeing as I promised to follow the directions once in a while, I felt that this TRIESTE ORGANICA 7 Grain Linuine (2.99$ for 340g) would be a good candidate. When I think of pasta, I can easily be tempted to treat a whole grain pasta, or quinoa pasta, in the same way as I would any other kinds of pasta, but in truth, it is probably wise to read over the directions whenever tackling an alternate version of a staple item like this.
For 340 g (1 package) of TRIESTE ORGANICA pasta, bring 3 L of water to a roiling boil. Add 1 tbsp. of salt. Add the pasta, stirring until the water returns to a boil. Cook uncovered for 5 to 7 minutes. Drain and serve with your favorite sauce.Directions were easy to follow, and the time frame for boiling is quite appropriate, I pulled my pasta out at the 4-1/2 minute mark and finished it off in the sauce I made for an additional minute or so. The texture was just right, I felt that any additional cooking time would have made the pasta mushy, but anything less might have resulted in a pasta too chewy to enjoy.
The sauce I made was a very simple Garlic, Tomato and Cream Sauce, it married beautifully with this pasta.
